What happens underground? It's a whole world down there, full of creatures: toads, worms, ants, moles, bacteria, fungi, grubs, mites, nematodes, and so on! They're all busy working together to make SOIL - one of our most important natural resources! So come out for the first Blooming Buddies of 2024 and learn about what goes down in the dirt!

Seeds: How Plants Move
Where a plant is planted, that's where it stays. A seed, however, can get around! Whether it flies through the air, gets carried off by ants, OR (most exciting) gets eaten and passes through an animal's body, we're going to find out how with active pretend play!

You, me, the plants, the animals, and the Earth are all essentially water! From the water cycle to the distribution of nutrients, we learn all about it AND create an art installation at the park!

How to Eat a Sunflower
We've spent this series learning about how sunflowers grow - from Soil Builders to Seeds to the Water Cycle, but now, at the end of our journey, it's time to FEAST! We'll try different and delectable ways to eat a sunflower and create a bird-feeder craft to feed the wildlife, too!
